Rain forces a change of plans

I'm writing this while I wait for my kids to finish their final ride on the Timber Wolf here at Worlds of Fun. Meanwhile, Steve and Mike P. are somewhere in Central Kansas riding toward Colorado.

The five of us originally planned to leave at 0700 Sunday (tomorrow) but the weather map for Sunday shows rain for pretty much all of Kansas. All. Day. Long.

So, Mike and Steve decided to head out early, leaving at noon today. Bruce, Dad and I will still head out tomorrow as scheduled. In the rain.

We are optimistic and still planning on staying in Colorado Springs Sunday night, but we'll modify our plans as the weather dictates. We're hoping 30% chance of storms means 70% chance it won't...but we'll see!

Here's to a safe head start to Steve and Mike and we'll catch up with you guys in Colorado Springs...eventually. Keep the beer cold until we get there.
